Music shaped by the spirit of the road
Honahlei
Honahlei is an indie folk duo formed by Michelle Gonzalez, internationally known as MishCatt, and songwriter Kevin Etheridge. Together, they create warm and atmospheric music built around harmony, storytelling and emotional connection.
Michelle Gonzalez, one of Costa Rica’s most streamed artists with more than 60 million plays across digital platforms, brings her distinctive voice and melodic sensitivity to the project. Alongside her, Kevin Etheridge contributes a relaxed and sun-soaked influence shaped by years spent living in Byron Bay, Australia.
The name Honahlei draws inspiration from the magical land of “Honah Lee” from the iconic 1960s song Puff the Magic Dragon, reflecting the duo’s shared love for nostalgia, imagination and timeless songwriting.
Writing all their music together, Honahlei rely primarily on guitar and voice, inspired by the simplicity and chemistry of songwriting legends such as Lennon and McCartney. Their songs combine intimate acoustic folk with subtle reggae rhythms, creating a unique blend of warmth, groove and cinematic atmosphere.
