E-MTB - Camping Sass Dlacia - Naturalpark Fanes#3
Starting from the campsite, we cross the main road and follow path no. 11 in the direction of La Villa. Having passed under the 'Punt de Altin' bridge, we head towards Badia along the Gadera river. We thus arrive at the Badia Pub, from which we have to ride along a piece of the main road. Having passed through the village of Pedraces we continue in the direction of Brunico. After passing through the village, we come to a hairpin bend, on which there is a tower, we turn left in the direction of "Costa". Before arriving at the houses, we turn right, following the dirt track. After a few bends, the path runs alongside the river again. We reach the industrial area of the village of La Valle (Pederoa) And we have to ride along a piece of the main road again. After crossing the village of Piccolino, passing Hotel Posta and the healthcare district, continue on the main road to Longega. At the crossroad turn right onto the main road, which will take us to the village of San Vigilio. From here we continue in the direction of Pederu (at the crossroads we therefore turn left and after a climb of about 200m we turn right). We pass the sports field and arrive at the small lake 'Le dla Creta'. In order to avoid the asphalt road, we turn right and follow the path in the direction of Pederü. The most fascinating part of the route now begins, through the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park.
Passing the Fanes and Lavarella mountain huts, we reach the 'Lè de Limo' lake after an uphill section. Pedalling on, we then reach the Malga Fanes. Amidst the grazing animals and the various small bridges that cross little streams, we can admire the beauty of the nature park with its imposing mountains on either side. We thus reach the Col de Locia pass. The first part of the descent is quite difficult, so it is recommended to get off the bike and carry it. On this last descent there are several steps, which are best tackled by carrying the bike. We arrive at the bottom of the valley, where we pedal the last few kilometers on the flat to reach the Sass Dlacia campsite.
