Camping Sass Dlacia - Lavarella

Itinerary: from the campsite go towards Capanna Alpina, then take the path number 11 in direction Fanes. After about a relatively steep one hour walk, you will reach the Col de Locia pass. From here the path continues with gentle ups and downs. This path is part of the Alta Via of the Dolomites. After crossing two bridges in about 30 minutes, you reach the “Ju dal Ega”. At this point, at an altitude of about 2157m, turn left towards Conturines and Lavarella (the trail is signed with two red dots). Then begin the ascent on a rocky path, passing large steps of rocks. Crossing the lake "Lè de Conturines" you reach the ridge and the top of Lavarella (3054m). From the summit you can enjoy a breathtaking view of San Cassiano and Alta Badia.

Advice:

-carrying the via ferrata kit with you, you can continue to the Conturines peak. The last stretch of this path is an aided path, with ladders.

- in order not to go down the same path, you can lengthen the tour and go down to the Forcella de Medesc. The stretch that connects Lavarella to the Forcella Medesc is very exposed and therefore only recommended for experts.

-carry enough water and food with you, as there are no huts or shelters on the way.
